character creation ideas & guidelines
APPEARANCE
All we ask is that you keep the colors REALISTIC. No orange or purple rodents running around please! We are pretty loose on how your character can look as long as it's realistic. So if you are interested in look that isn't listed down here, be free! It's most likely allowed. Here's the creation guide if you want to be safe, though:
FUR COLORS
- Albino (all white; red eyes)
- Beige
- Black/gray
- Blue
- Champagne
- Chocolate
- Cocoa
- Lilac
- Platinum
- Siamese
- White
EYE COLORS
- Black
- Brown
- Red/Pink (always in albino)
- Odd-Eye (one eye pink/red, the other black)
FUR PATTERNS
- English Irish - colored triangle on the chest.
- Irish - moderately sized, evenly shaped white marking on the belly, four white feet, white tail tip.
- Down Under - markings on the top side, with corresponding belly stripe or spots.
- Berkshire - completely white belly, white feet, white tail, and small spot between the ears.
- Essex - markings similar to Berkshire, fading of color.
- Variegated - colored head and shoulders, white blaze on forehead, small and numerous color splashes from shoulders to tail, including the sides and tail and belly.
- Blaze - a white, wedge-shaped blaze on the face from muzzle to ears.
- Dalmatian - numerous color splashes distributed over the entire body.
- Hooded - a white body with a colored hood to cover head, neck, chest and shoulders.
- Bareback - a colored hood to cover head, neck, chest, and shoulders on a white body.
- Capped - a white body with a colored cap on head.
- Masked - a white body and a colored “mask” covering just across the face and around the eyes.
- Solid - Full of one color, sometimes with a stripe or colored paw scattered throughout.
If this is too complicated to study, be free to create your own pattern. Remember, we're loose - as long as it's realistic! They are real fur patterns, but you don't have to use them.

EVERYTHING ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW
AGE: Rats live around 2-3 years and mice live around #-# years. Our starting age limit is 3 months - 10 months.
SPECIES: At the moment, we allow the basics: rat or mouse. But that doesn't mean you have to be "ordinary"! All types of rat/mice are allowed. For example, Valerian is a Eurasian Harvest Mouse.
HOME: You get to choose exactly where your character lives as long as it's a board in the roleplay section (or they have no home and just travel around). Don't get discouraged if someone else claimed a spot you wanted: Rodents are small and don't require much space; several can live in the same area without even knowing of each other's existence.
